ENGINE WORK.
First thing was to strip and make sure the motor was fit to be modified.
The motor had been left with water in the barrels, and the ally had started to corrode, parts were missing or broken and nut and bolts sheared off.
Knife edge - lighten (2Kg) and balance crank, balance and polisg rods, pistons and pins, smooth and polish inlet and exhaust tracke, re-cut valve seats, new seal, "O" rings, con rod bolts and nuts.
This reduces the stress in the motor giving a smoother throttle response
The engine was stripped of all the old paint, by the use of baking soda and our ultrasonic tank
We use baking soda as any residue left dissolves in the ultrasonic tank, this leaves oil galleries clean, reducing the risk of damage to engine components, we then gently and evenly heat up the casings and spray with a special engine case paint
